Easy Expense Manager

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) and Apps For Nexus (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of the Easy Expense Manager application (“App”) on iOS (iPhone, iPad) and Android devices.

By accessing, downloading, installing, or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you are using the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the App.
• If you are between 13 and 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you may only use the App with the consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
• By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Description of the App

Easy Expense Manager is a personal finance management application that provides the following features (current and planned):

3.1 Current Features

• Transaction Management: Record, edit, and delete income and expense transactions with categories, descriptions, dates, and receipt photos.
• Categories: Create and customize transaction categories with icons and colors.
• Budgeting: Set monthly budgets with category allocations, zero-based budgeting, rollover support, and fund tracking.
• Analytics & Reports: View spending breakdowns, income vs. expense trends, calendar heatmaps, day-of-week patterns, savings rate, and budget health analytics.
• Financial Goals: Set and track financial goals with target amounts and deadlines.
• Recurring Transactions: Automate regular income and expenses on daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or yearly schedules.
• Bill Reminders: Set reminders for upcoming bills with local notifications.
• Spending Limits: Set daily and weekly spending limits with progress tracking.
• Streaks & Insights: Track no-spend day streaks and receive smart spending insights.
• Data Export: Export transaction data in CSV and PDF formats.
• Widgets: Home screen widgets displaying balance and recent transactions.
• Multi-Currency Support: Select from multiple currencies with locale auto-detection.
• Appearance: Light, Dark, and Auto theme modes.

3.2 Planned Future Features

We intend to introduce additional features in future updates, which may include:

• User accounts and authentication (email, Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In).
• Cloud backup, restore, and cross-device synchronization.
• App lock with biometric authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint).
• Receipt scanning via camera with OCR (optical character recognition).
• Shared budgets, expense splitting, and collaborative features.
• Premium features via in-app purchases or subscriptions.
• Bank and financial account integrations.
• AI-powered insights and smart categorization.
• Location-based transaction tagging.
• Multi-platform support (Android, web).

Future features may be subject to additional terms, fees, or subscriptions. We reserve the right to introduce, modify, or discontinue features at our discretion.

4. License Grant

4.1 Limited License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on devices that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

4.2 Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or create derivative works of the App or its content.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law.
• Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices, labels, or marks on the App.
• Use the App for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App’s functionality, servers, or networks.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or other means to access or interact with the App.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its related systems.
• Use the App to process data on behalf of third parties in a commercial capacity without our written consent.

5. User Accounts (Future Feature)

When user account functionality is introduced:

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
• You may delete your account at any time, which will result in the deletion of your cloud-stored data within 30 days.

6. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions (Future Feature)

6.1 Premium Features

Certain advanced features may require a one-time purchase or recurring subscription. Pricing and feature details will be clearly presented before any purchase.

6.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not directly collect or store your payment information. All transactions are subject to the terms and policies of the respective platform.

6.3 Subscriptions

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.
• No refunds will be provided for partial subscription periods, except as required by applicable law or platform policies.

6.4 Free Trial

We may offer free trial periods for premium features. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will begin and you will be charged according to the selected plan.

6.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Existing subscribers will be notified in advance and price changes will apply at the next renewal period.

7. User Content and Data

7.1 Your Data

You retain full ownership of all financial data, transactions, categories, goals, and other content you enter into the App (“User Content”). We do not claim any ownership rights to your User Content.

7.2 Data Responsibility

• You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of data you enter into the App.
• You are responsible for maintaining backup copies of your data. We strongly recommend using the App’s export feature regularly.
• We are not responsible for any data loss resulting from device failure, App deletion, operating system updates, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

7.3 License to Use Your Data

By using cloud features (when available), you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your data solely for the purpose of providing the App’s services to you. This license terminates when you delete your data or account.

7.4 Exported Data

When you export data (CSV, PDF, or other formats), you are responsible for the security and handling of those exported files.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, icons, interface, features, algorithms, and all related intellectual property, is owned by Apps For Nexus and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.

8.2 Trademarks

“Easy Expense Manager,” “Apps For Nexus,” and associated logos are trademarks of Apps For Nexus. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.

8.3 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas regarding the App, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate such feedback without obligation or compensation to you.

9. Disclaimer of Financial Advice

• All calculations, analytics, insights, and reports generated by the App are based solely on data you provide and are for informational and personal organizational purposes only.
• We do not verify the accuracy of data you enter or the calculations derived therefrom.
• You should consult qualified financial professionals for financial advice, tax planning, or investment decisions.
• We are not responsible for any financial decisions you make based on information displayed in the App.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

10.1 “As Is” Basis

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10.2 No Guarantee

We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from bugs, viruses, or other harmful components.
• The App will meet your specific requirements or expectations.
• Any data stored in the App will be permanently preserved or recoverable.
• The results obtained from using the App will be accurate or reliable.
• Defects in the App will be corrected within any particular timeframe.

10.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL APPS FOR NEXUS, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH:

• Your use of or inability to use the App.
• Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in the App’s content or functionality.
• Loss or corruption of data, including financial records and receipt images.
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.
• Any third-party conduct or content accessed through the App.
• Any financial decisions made based on information from the App.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR FIFTY US DOLLARS ($50.00), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Apps For Nexus and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use of the App.
• Your violation of these Terms.
• Your violation of any third-party rights.
• Any content or data you enter into the App.

12. Third-Party Services and Links

• The App may integrate with or contain links to third-party services (e.g., Apple iCloud, Google Drive, payment processing platforms).
• We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party services.
• Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
• We do not endorse, warrant, or assume liability for any third-party services.

13. App Store Terms

Your use of the App is also subject to the terms and conditions of the platform from which you downloaded it:

• Apple App Store: Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies as the standard EULA.
• Google Play Store: Google Play’s Terms of Service apply.

In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the applicable platform’s terms, the more restrictive term shall apply.

13.1 Apple-Specific Terms

• These Terms are between you and Apps For Nexus, not Apple Inc. (“Apple”). Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
• In the event of the App’s failure to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation.
• Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to the App, including product liability, regulatory compliance, or intellectual property infringement.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

14. Modifications to the App and Terms

14.1 App Changes

We reserve the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the App.

14.2 Terms Changes

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.
• Provide notice through the App or other appropriate channels.

Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the App.

15. Termination

15.1 By You

You may stop using the App and delete it from your device at any time. If you have an account (when available), you may request account deletion through the App’s settings or by contacting us.

15.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause or notice, including if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms.

15.3 Effect of Termination

• Upon termination, your license to use the App is immediately revoked.
• Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections on Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law) shall survive.
• We are not responsible for any data loss upon termination. We recommend exporting your data before deleting your account or the App.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

16.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Apps For Nexus is established, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16.2 Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, it shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction, at our discretion.

16.3 Class Action Waiver

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTES WILL BE RESOLVED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND YOU WAIVE YOUR RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION, CLASS ARBITRATION, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

17. General Provisions

17.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms for premium features, constitute the entire agreement between you and Apps For Nexus regarding the App.

17.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

17.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

17.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.

17.5 Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, labor disputes, government actions, internet disruptions, or failures of third-party services.

17.6 Notices

We may provide notices to you through the App, email (if you have an account), or by posting on our website. You may provide notices to us at the contact information below.

18. Open Source and Attributions

The App may include open-source software components. Applicable open-source licenses are included in the App’s Settings or About section. Use of open-source components is subject to their respective license terms.

19. Accessibility

We are committed to making the App accessible to all users. If you experience any accessibility issues, please contact us so we can work to address them.
